Three’s a charm: All about trilogy rings
Whether you’re thinking about remodelling, purchasing or commissioning a trilogy style ring. This blog post aims to explore and inspire you with images and design options for Erin’s three stone rings.
These images are a combination of past one of a kind designs and commissions made from customer’s own materials. Have fun scrolling!
BEZEL SET CLASSICS
Erin’s contemporary twist on a classic design. Want an organic textured band with the essence of a vintage trilogy? This could be the style for you…
PEBBLE TRILOGY
Similar to the above style but rather than tube like settings either side of the center stone Erin can set side stones within a molten ball of metal. This method can give smaller side stones more presence and a slightly more organic finish to your ring.
OVAL (PORTRAIT)
A classic formation but with Erin’s contemporary textures and colour combinations there’s plenty of fun to be had with this style of trilogy ring!
OVAL (LANDSCAPE)
Turning the above style on its head…literally! Erin loves to set oval stones in a landscape formation for even more contemporary style.
SMALL STONE ACCENTS
Although still three stone rings, these examples allow the centre stone to be the star of the show! Adding two small stone accents either side of a solitaire can enhance the impact of the design. Take the minty green tourmaline example below…by adding in pink diamonds the unexpected and fun colour palette transforms the design into something much more fun and quirky!
ALTERNATIVE SHAPED STONES
Why not be brave and explore alternative gem cuts and combinations? If you want more inspiration in this department, why not check out our blog post “We love all shapes and sizes” which explores various gemstone cuts and shapes.
BUBBLE
Setting stones within molten ‘auras’ of ‘bubbles’ can again, give smaller stones more presence. Further more, asymmetric bubble designs can be a great way to bring together different sized stones in a way that creates design balance and harmony.
SIGNET
Want to add a couple of mini stone accents? Adding harder stones like diamonds, rubies or sapphires to signet designs offers a jazzy alternative to your traditional engraved signet or trilogy design. Me likey!
